The outdoor areas were lit and perfect for hanging out with friends. We hit up the awesome bar nearby and danced the night away. The vibe was just right, full of cool people from all over the world. We made so many new mates and had the time of our lives!
The only thing we missed was having a proper party area at the hostel. It would have been sick to have a dedicated space for us young party animals to turn up and have a blast without worrying about disturbing anyone else.

The location was super convenient, only a short walk to the city centre, and there were awesome pubs/bars nearby like Brewski! The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, always there when needed. The basic breakfast included in the room rate was a pleasant surprise, not something you often find in Australia. The hostel had great common facilities like a shared kitchen, a leisure/TV room, billiard tables, and a game room with board games. it was a fantastic hostel, with just a few tweaks it could be even better!

My go-to place in Brisbane. Staff found my forgotten jewellery on my first stay! It has Wi-Fi, shared kitchen, TV room, pool tables, and board games. Can't wait to go back for Christmas.

The place had a warm and secure atmosphere, which made us feel right at home. The recently refurbished rooms were clean, spacious, and had massive individual lockers for our belongings. The bathrooms were well-maintained, with ample mirrors and private toilets. Being able to store our luggage safely was a big plus. We also enjoyed the outdoor terrace, offering stunning views and the chance to socialize with fellow travelers. , there was a TV lounge room available for relaxation. The hostel's location was convenient, with a supermarket and various shops and dining options just a short walk away. we had a comfortable stay and would choose Banana Backpackers again for our family trip to Brisbane.
My wife says that it would be great to have reading lights near the beds for the kids.

The location is convenient as it is close to the bus station and some tourist attractions. the breakfast is simple yet satisfying and the staff is friendly. the common areas can be a bit crowded.
The Wi-Fi signal is very poor and the luggage storage is only available until 4 pm, which can be inconvenient for late checkouts.

The room at Banana Bender Backpackers was cozy and comfortable. It had a really cool vibe with colorful decorations and a relaxed atmosphere. I loved the free WiFi, it was super fast and reliable. As a business traveler, this was a big plus for me.
Some may find the charge for the first night of accommodation a bit inconvenient, but hey, it's just my personal opinion.

I appreciated the low price of the hostel as well as the fact that it was close to major shopping areas and nightlife. The air conditioning in the room was also a welcome respite from the hot weather.
The bathroom facilities were subpar and not kept clean throughout my stay. the staff seemed uninterested in helping with any requests or issues that arose.

The large deck area was the perfect spot to relax, until the long term stayers took over and made it their personal space. Hilarious!
The long term stayers felt entitled to dominate the social areas. How fun!

I had an awesome Christmas experience. the breakfast was plentiful and delicious, plus the amazing terrace views were a treat! the location was really central, walking distance to everything I needed. I also appreciated the shelving units in the rooms to keep my belongings organized.
The kitchen was small and closed early, which made it hard to cook and eat later in the evening. the noise level was pretty high in the evenings and there were some issues with bedbugs in one of the rooms.

The staff is kind and helpful, keeping the hostel clean. Convenient location near CBD, Roma Street Station, and a Coles. Lovely view from the terrace. Quiet atmosphere, great for light sleepers.
Felt a sense of home and care, no complaints.
